Sehr schön zum tauchen. Gutes Equipment ( mares ). Inhaber kümmert sich sehr gut, wurden abgeholt direkt am Hotelsteg. Gute Empfehlungen für Unterkunft und Restaurant. We had an incredible experience with Javi and Rut diving in Xcalak. The reef here is healthier than in other parts of Mexico, which is great to see. Dove site La Poza is not to be missed!  It is an incredible experience rounding a corner and seeing 40-50 huge tarpon just hanging out. It was a highlight!  Javi and Rut are knowledgeable, professional, and most of all, fun! Dovevamo fare una sola giornata di immersioni con Costa de Cocos Dive ma alla fine siamo tornati anche il giorno dopo perchè sono davvero belle immersioni. Abbiamo visto squali nutrice, enormi tarpons fish che ci nuotavano intorno a vortice, aquile di mare, razze, tanto pesce e come ciliegina sulla torta un enorme lamantino! After 18 years of diving all over the world diving with Coasta de Cocos was one of the best dive experiences of my life. Javie is a wealth of knowledge about this pristine reef system here in Xcalak and is so passionate about his job and protecting this natural wonderland. We dived through caves and caverns, came flipper to flipper with dolphins, nose to nose with six foot tarpens, watched Manatees hanging out at thier cleaning station, seen turtles, nurse sharks and all the other tropical fish of the Mayan reef system in abundance. Every time I turned my head there was another incredible creature to marvel at. It was a magical experience. What made it extra special was is that it's so less comercial than the crowed reefs up the North of Quintana Roo so you really get to feel at one with all this diveres marine life. Nous avons adoré plonger à Xcalak avec Rut et Javi !!!

Nous nous sommes décidés la veille et ils nous ont très bien renseignés sur comment venir depuis Bacalar. Nous avons pris un bus à 6h40 qui coûtait 120 pesos pour un peu moins de 3h de route (parfois départ 6h15, vérifier la veille) et ils sont venus nous chercher à 9h15 à Xcalak . Ce bus passe également par Mahahual si vous venez de là.

Nous avons fait 2 plongées qui se sont super bien passées : tortue, poisson lion, tarpons, murène, langouste, mérou, et surtout plusieurs lamantins !!! Nous étions seuls sur le lieu de plongée. Javi et Rut ont été aux petits soins avec nous, super expérience hors des sentiers battus ! Je ne peux que recommander. Encore merci !

I always love to dive with passionate divers, Javier is one of them. He showed us the beauty of Xcalak reef and we had an amazing time! If you are looking for a unique and authentic experience, I highly recommend to dive with Costa de Cocos dive center and stay in one of the cabañas on the beach. The scuba diving at Costa de cocos was amazing. Ravi is very passionate and respectfull of the fauna and flora in Xcalak. He knows very well the diving spots and showed us a lot of things. Thanks to him I saw my first manatee and shark there.
Sleeping in a caban in front of the sea was also an amazing experience that I would definitely recommend. The sunrise over the sea was amazing !

Estuve tres días en Xcalak y fueron maravillosos! Hice snorkel en sus aguas cristalinas y el fondo marino es increíble.  Había una gran cantidad de peces y corales de muchos colores. El paisaje es increíble también y el pueblo muy encantador.
Respecto a Javi, él es encantador y muy buen profesor y guía. Muy atento con los clientes y servicial. Nos llevó también a una excursión muy chula en el río que hace frontera con Belice.

Si quieres pasar unos días en una zona única y tranquila de México este es el sitio, dónde tu única preocupación es ponerte crema para el sol y ver el mar.
